1. Safety. For safety, the first requirement is to have a passive safety magnetic lock function, that is, once your body breaks off the treadmill, you can quickly stop the running belt to prevent serious accidents. The second and most important thing is the active safety guarantee, which requires that the motor speed of the treadmill is stable without sudden slowdown in speed. Most domestic well-known brand treadmills use imported motors from Taiwan or the United States, and have passed CCC certification, which can ensure the stability and reliability of the motors.

2. The continuous output power of the treadmill: Please note that this is the continuous output power, not the maximum output power. The general output power is nominally horsepower (Hp). Normally, one horsepower of a treadmill can provide a carrying weight of 50~60 kg. For a treadmill used in general households, the weight of the runner is below 100Kg. If it is not used for long-term uninterrupted commercial running, the continuous output power should be 1.5- Between 2.0, it will be able to meet the needs. If you have a heavier weight, you need to choose a treadmill with higher power, generally you can choose a treadmill of 2.75Hp or larger. If your weight exceeds 140Kg, please use other methods to reduce weight first, and then train on treadmill.

3. The speed range of the treadmill: usually people usually walk at a speed of about 6Km/h during normal walking training, and the speed during running training is about 9-11Km/h, so you can choose a treadmill with a speed range of 0-12Km/h. Meet the needs of the family. Of course, if you have special requirements for your physical training, you can choose a treadmill with a maximum speed of 16Km/h for training.

4. Whether it has slope adjustment: A treadmill with slope adjustment can greatly enhance the effect of aerobic training, allowing you to consume more calories and better cardio-pulmonary exercise effects in the same time. Under normal circumstances, the slope of the treadmill can be adjusted in multiple steps within the range of 0-12%, and some imported brands can even reach 25%. In fact, for treadmills used at home, 0-12% can meet the requirements. Under normal circumstances, excessive slope adjustment is rarely used.

5. Effective running belt area of treadmill: The effective running belt area can provide a safe and comfortable running environment. Under normal circumstances, the effective running belt area must be at least 1100*350mm. Don't buy a treadmill with a small effective running belt area to save some money. You should buy a treadmill with an effective running belt area as large as possible while you can afford it. After my own running practice, the author suggests that a treadmill with an effective width of about 400mm should be quite comfortable. Of course, a larger effective running belt area requires the treadmill to have a larger output power to ensure its smooth running. If the effective running belt area is about 1200*400mm, its continuous output power should be 1.75Hp to meet the requirements.

6. Whether it has a folding and auxiliary mobile device, after all, a treadmill generally covers an area of about 1700*750mm. If it has folding and mobile functions, it can save space when not in use, and is convenient for home life.
